Day 6 Floating village and Silk Farm

Today we arranged with out TutTut driver to take us out for a long trip. First we went to the Floating village at Kampong Phluk, Cambodia. It was quite a long journey to get there which gave us time to ‘people watch’ and to see the local housing and how the farming communities live.

Vichhay our driver helped us buy tickets for the boat trip. We were assigned to a boat, the ‘driver’ seemed young and didn’t speak much English.

There was only the two of us on the boat, which was great as we could move about to see everything. This village is a bog tourist attraction, so there were lots of people living around the starting point, living, fishing, playing.

The fishermen were throwing out nets and then going into the water to collect their catch.
