So what do you do if it rains, put your coat on, grab your camera and go for a walk.
It has amazed us how the locals just put on their rain-capes and just get on with life…. let’s sell some rain-capes to the tourists!
Trey one of our group bought one, he almost ripped it apart trying to put it on. The ‘tourist’ ones are very thin plastic.
Hoi An is Famous for making Suits, Shoes and Glasses. So most of our group got really excited this morning and went down to the riverside shops to choose some new things. I didn’t want anything but Cheryl went to look at new glasses.
She found some frames she liked and they will be ready in 24hours. (And they were!).
Guicci frames with bi focal lenses and reactor light for half the price at home. And ready in 24 hours. No complaints.
Dee had told us about a Tea Shop as we went on a walk last night, it is run by Deaf People and he said they make really nice Tea. So we thought we would try some. He was not wrong. The choice was mind boggling we wanted to try some fruit teas we had not tried before. They were scrumpy. The presentation was excellent and the building and decor was amazing.
Lunch time was a treat. As part of the G-Adventures tour we went to a demonstration of Noodle making. And then got to make our own. Great fun and lots of laughs.
Oodles of Noodles has been set up to teach young people the skills of cooking, presentation and serving food, so they have a chance to get a job in the Hotel and Hospitality industry. They are mostly from disadvantaged backgrounds and without this training would not get the chance to get a good job.
And the end of our cooking session the young people brought us a beautiful lunch.
